Enemy Star launches 2-night, 2-city "female-fronted" music fest
Local hard rock outfit Enemy Star is preparing to launch a new two-night "female-fronted" music festival in September with dates in Milwaukee and Madison.
"Over the last two years we have networked and have been fortunate enough to work with some really amazing female-fronted acts from Madison, Sheboygan, Chicago and here in Milwaukee," says Enemy Star guitarist and founder Paris Ortiz.
"It's very exciting and we plan to make it an annual if not twice annual thing."
The event kicks off with a show at The Frequency in Madison on Friday, Sept. 7 featuring Enemy Star, Madison's Colorphase, Sheyboygan's Onset Oblivion and Chicago's Candlelit.
The second part takes place the following night at the BBC in Milwaukee. The same bands perform, with the addition of Divyded, with members from Madison and Milwaukee.
