Flight of the Conchords visit Milwaukee May 2 at the Riverside Theater.

Flight of the Conchords book two Riverside shows

If the mere idea that the HBO series "Flight of the Conchords" is running out of episodes in its second (and possibly final) season is too much to bear, there is some good news on the horizon.

The New Zealand slacker folk duo, which plans a new full-length CD this spring, will play a pair of shows May 2 at the Riverside Theater.

Tickets for the shows, which begin at 7 and 10 p.m., cost $35 and go on sale Friday morning.

Flight of the Conchords (Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement) also play a show April 26 at the Overture Center in Madison. The tour, which begins April 6 in Tampa, features stops at Radio City Music Hall in New York, Red Rocks outside Denver and two-show, single-night stands in Philadelphia and Berkeley in addition to Milwaukee.

Flight Of The Conchords is up for the best comedy album Grammy for its 2008 self-titled full-length debut. The group won that honor last year for its EP "The Distant Future." Songs from season two shows are available through iTunes and SubPop.com the day after each episode airs.

maybe the now typically idiotic milwaukee crowd that always likes to think they can be part of the show by yelling random crap at the performers will keep their brat-holes shut this time around.
