My friend Holly Haebig is in a bunch of bands, including DevaNation, De La Buena (Afro-Cuban Latin Jazz) and One Drum. Considering current political happenings, it's a great time to catch one of her peaceful projects. Plus, her shows are always very "dance your pants off" and fun.
Check out these "Haebig Gigs:"
Tuesday, Aug. 1, 6:30- 8:30 p.m. De La Buena at Kosciusko Park.
A free, outdoor family affair located on 7th Street between Lincoln Avenue and Becher Street.
Friday, Aug. 4, 6:30-9 p.m. One Drum at Cedar Creek Park.
One Drum will headline at the 2006 Summer Sounds Music Series in Cedarburg with Wil Seabrook opening. Free, outdoor with vendors & more!
Saturday, Aug. 5, Lanterns for Peace Family Event.
Annual Commemoration of the Atomic Bombings of Hiroshima & Nagasaki at Pere Marquette Park located Downtown on Old World Third Street and Kilbourn Avenue.
Saturday, Aug. 12, 1-2 p.m. DevaNation at Sheboyban's EarthFest.
This annual festival offers interesting vendors, food, bodywork and free live music from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 19, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. DevaNation at the East Side Open Market.
It's "Community Activism Day" with local vendors, farmers and activists sharing their work from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 25, 7:30-10:30 p.m. De La Buena At Moct Bar, 240 E Pittsburgh St.
