As usual, Henry Rollins is provoked. And to absolutely no one's surprise, he's chosen to share his thoughts, political and otherwise, with anyone willing to listen.

That is the basic premise behind "Provoked: An evening of Quintessentially American Opinionated Editorializing and Storytelling" -- a two-month fall tour of North America that rolls into Milwaukee on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at the Eagles Ballroom.

In the vein of previous talking tours such as 2005's "25 Years of Bullsh*t," which marked 25 years on the road for Rollins, "Provoked" promise, "insight, (to) enrage and enlighten, and to draw both laughs and ire."

Tickets for all shows on the tour go on sale Saturday, July 14.

Julie Lawrence Special to OnMilwaukee.com

OnMilwaukee.com staff writer Julie Lawrence grew up in Wauwatosa and has lived her whole life in the Milwaukee area.

As any “word nerd” can attest, you never know when inspiration will strike, so from a very early age Julie has rarely been seen sans pen and little notebook. At the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee it seemed only natural that she major in journalism. When OnMilwaukee.com offered her an avenue to combine her writing and the city she knows and loves in late 2004, she knew it was meant to be. Around the office, she answers to a plethora of nicknames, including “Lar,” (short for “Larry,” which is short for “Lawrence”) as well as the mysteriously-sourced “Bill Murray.”
