Ludacris, Chris Brown to headline Summerfest on July 1
Ludacris will headline at the Marcus Amphitheater on Sunday, July 1 at Summerfest. The 7 p.m show's lineup also includes Chris Brown, Ciara and T-Pain.
At the 2007 American Grammy Awards Ludacris took home awards for Best Rap Album, "Release Therapy," and Best Rap Song, "Money Maker."
Since his show at the Harley-Davidson Roadhouse during last year's Summerfest, 17-year-old Chris Brown has been nominated for two Grammys, seen his album go platinum and been named to both AOL's 21 Hottest Young Musical Talents under 21 list as well as People Magazine's Most Beautiful People list.
Ciara broke onto the scene in 2004 with her number one single, "Goodies." Her second album "Ciara: The Evolution" was released late last year and has spawned three top twenty singles on the Billboard 100 list. T-Pain's single "Buy U a Drank" is currently the number one song on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop songs list.
Not all people that listen to rap music are bad. I am a married professional and a homeowner. I listen to the music simply because thats what I enjoy. That is such a stero type!! I am super excited for this concert Luda is one of my favorites. Hey did you know Ludacris has been on Oprah? Do you now think Oprah and her audience are bad people?
This is a GREAT concert opportunity! I was very pleased to see this lineup and look forward to checking out Ludacris in person--I enjoy him in films and in performances/interviews on tv. His music is catchy, edgy and clever lyrically in the hip-hop genre. I also am looking forward to Chris Brown (missed him last year!!!) who did a spectacular performance (the best one this year in my estimation) on this year's grammy awards show. He's an amazing artist and dancer to rival Usher. Ciara's dance moves and music performances are visually entertaining so I can only imagine that she would put on a great show too. Good job Summerfest in expanding your horizons and embracing one of the most popular genres in today's music!
I suggest avoiding Summerfest on this day at all cost!! This will bring down some very dangerous people.
