Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter John Prine has booked a show for Friday, March 6 at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts.
Prine, one of the influential leaders of the "Chicago folk revival" and a fixture on the road for more than 30 years, won a Grammy for Best Contemporary Folk Album in 2006 with his CD "Fair and Square."
The following year, he released "Standard Songs for Average People," a collaboration with bluegrass' Mac Wiseman.
Reserved tickets for Prine's show cost $45 and $50 and will go on sale at 11:30 a.m on Dec. 8 at the Marcus Center box office and Web site, Ticketmaster outlets including ticketmaster.com and by phone at (414) 273-7206.
