"In Our Bedroom After the War," (Arts & Crafts) the fourth full-length album from Stars, has cast a bright light on Vancouver's delicate indie pop quintet in the year since its release.
Soft, yet energetic, both intimate and poppy, the record is a multi-faceted musical affair that delights in despair and sophisticated sadness.
The band, formed by Torquil Campbell of Broken Social Scene, is now on tour in support of "Bedroom." Although Stars make a Madison stop at the Barrymore Theatre on Thursday, March 28, the group doesn't reach Milwaukee until Friday, April 18 at The Pabst Theater.
Tickets are $20 (reserved seating) and go on sale Friday, March 14 at noon at The Pabst Theater box office, on the Web at www.pabsttheater.org and www.tickets.com, or by calling (414) 286-3663 or (800) 511-1552. More information at www.pabsttheater.org/stars.
