This morning, Summerfest announced the latest addition to its Marcus Amphitheater headliner lineup: country star Tim McGraw, who will be joined for the Milwaukee show on Sunday, July 3, by special guests Kacey Musgraves and Ryan Kinder.

In addition to his not-insubstantial film resume ("Friday Night Lights," "Tomorrowland"), McGraw has almost always been a country music mainstay, scoring three Grammys and selling over 40 million records over the course of his career – including over 100,000 copies of his latest album, last year's "Damn Country Music." He's also no stranger to the Marcus Amp stage, as he headlined the Big Gig back in 2013.

Musgraves also had a new album last year, entitled "Pageant Material," that earned the rising country star a Grammy nomination for Best Country Album. She would go on to lose that evening to fellow rising critically and fan darling Chris Stapleton, but still earned plenty of critical raves and album sales, debuting at number three on the Billboard 200 chart.

Tickets for the Tim McGraw show go on sale beginning on Friday, March 18 at noon. As always, tickets include general Summerfest admission. Tickets can be purchased at the Summerfest box office, Ticketmaster ticket centers and Walmart stores, as well as online at Ticketmaster.com and over the phone either through the Summerfest box office (1-414-273-2600), through a live Ticketmaster agent (1-800-745-3000) or through Ticketmaster's automated ticket line (1-866-448-7849).

There will also be a Summerfest Stay Connected presale for those who receive Summerfest email news alerts or follow the Big Gig on Facebook or Twitter. The presale will run from 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 17 through 10 p.m. or until the presale inventory has run out.

McGraw serves as currently the third country act to be announced as a Marcus Amphitheater headliner, joining Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan. Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee to find out what acts, country or otherwise, will join them.
