Banjo Barons Ragtime Band

The BANJO BARONS RAGTIME BAND is a string trio with tenor banjo, plectrum banjo and string bass performing Ragtime, Dixieland, Roaring 20's, Swing and Show tunes. The trio's repertoire also includes jazz and classical numbers, and of course, the Midwest's favorite polkas. The BANJO BARONS RAGTIME BAND has been performing at Meyer's Family Restaurant, 6015 W. Forest Home Avenue, Milwaukee, WI. since 1992 for the Friday evening dinner patrons.
The group's specialty is upbeat, strolling music. The BANJO BARONS RAGTIME BAND's popularity is due in part to their musical styling and variety. The group performs for numerous functions each year throughout the Southeastern Wisconsin metropolitan area and other venues in the Midwest. These musical appearances include performances at conventions, sales meetings, festivals, country clubs, ballpark promotions as well as special concerts for private clubs and organizations.
The group has recorded two full-length cassettes. The first, released in 1993, is entitled "Pickin' & Strummin." The group's latest full-length cassette, produced in response to the band's many fans, is entitled, "Pickin yOUR Favorites." The cassettes are unique in that they feature a variety of musical styles, including polkas & old-time waltzes, Dixieland tunes, swing & jazz tunes, classical pieces and some hot pickin' numbers!
