Strangest Places is an original rock band with a recent EP and 2 full length album releases filled with solid rock and roll, unforgettable hooks and powerful melodies. The music fuses heavy elements of british rock, 80's rock and electronica, while occasionally flirting with the styles of hip hop and jazz.
Names of band members:
Jonathan Granger - vocals and keyboards
Tim Johnson - guitars
Dave Clay - bass
Dan Hanke - drums
Britrock/pop bands like U2, The Church, The Verve, Charlatans UK, Bowie and 80's rock of early Cure and Depeche Mode.
Optional is the band's latest EP release. It follows up Strangest Places's full length album Very Loud Thoughts, which has been described by The Onion as "bombastic, cleverly written" and "reminiscient of the early Cure". Hiding the Igniting Girl was released in October of 1999, from the earlier days of the band's synthrock style.
