Description:
This whole joy ride started in the basement (like all good bands do) in Jan of 97, with KB and Marcus getting together to hash out some ideas. Things progressed to the point where we brought in Matt Schmitz and Baron Von Rehak(YES, IT'S HIS REAL NAME!) to take on vocals and bass respectively.

KB started Sparkle Records to promote A#9, as well as other artists. Once this union was forged we chose to practice, practice, practice, then record our debut CD "Aural Sex" at the now defunct Junkyard Studio(Milwaukee). We went about this recording project a little bit differently than many bands do. We brought in engineer/producer Brian Egeness and discussed relative issues beforehand so that we could achieve ultra professional results on a tight budget. The proof is in the recording!! "Aural Sex" ventures through a multitude of soundscapes that takes you on a wild ride. And as for the unusual title... basically it means that we're f*cking your senses with sound!!

And that folks is our point! You'll never know where we're coming from, what kind of label to tag us with or what we're going to do next! We've gone on to do tons of cool stuff and evolve as a band. We've lost players (Paul Berkholtz stepped in on bass for a minute and then Baron later returned)along the way and picked up new ones. Most recently Matt and Baron have left A#9 to pursue other joys in life. Our newest members, vocalist Jeremy Hansen and bassist Dan Bell have since taken the stage and bring A#9 into a new era!
