This morning, on my weekly radio segment with Dave Luczak and Carole Caine on 96.5 WKLH, my hosts asked for a favor. They requested that I reach out OnMilwaukee.com's hundreds of thousands of readers to do something very simple: vote for them as North America's "most caring radio station."

If their show wins -- and they're currently in the lead -- Foresters insurance will donate $50,000 to their cause, Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.

Dave said something interesting to me as I left their studio. He said he doesn't especially care if the voters are regular listeners to his show. What he cares about is getting that money to Children's Hospital.

I'm with him.

Frankly, I don't know if "Y107" in Columbia, Mo., is as philanthropic as WKLH, but it's in second place and gaining fast. I do know, however, that you can vote up to 10 times per day until the promotion ends at 10:59 p.m. this Friday.

I also know that the station is incredibly generous when it comes to this charity and has raised a ton of money through its "Miracle Marathon." It's a very worthy cause and one that's important to my radio hosts.

It doesn't cost you anything, and only takes a few minutes. I urge you to click on over to the Children's Miracle Network to vote early and often. Milwaukee's kids need your help.
