Every year, The Exclusive Company really gets into the spirit of Record Store Day, not only by selling the day's many exclusive limited edition releases, but also by hosting live in-store performances by local musicians.

This year's Record Store Day is Saturday, April 21, and The Exclusive Company will have free performances all day at its shops on the East Side (1669 N. Farwell Ave.), in Greenfield (5026 S. 74th St.) and in West Bend (144 N. Main St.).

Here are the lineups:

Milwaukee
10 a.m.-3 p.m.: WMSE DJs including: 10 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.: Good John and Andy Turner spinning indie-rock & alt-country; 12:30-3 p.m.: Melissa spinning retro alternative and RSD special releases
3 p.m.: Will Phalen
4 p.m.: Vic & Gab
5 p.m.: Archie Powell & the Exports
6 p.m.: Brief Candles

Greenfield
10:30 a.m.: Peter D'Amore
Noon: Sam Llanas
2-10 p.m.: WMSE DJs including: 2-4 p.m.: Mark Krueger spinning Prog Rock; 4-6 p.m.: Sonia K; 6-10 p.m.: WMSE DJs tba

West Bend
11 a.m.-noon: Lucidia (acoustic performance)
Noon-4 p.m.: DJs including: Noon-2 p.m.:  DJ Todd One; 2-4 p.m.: DJ "The Dirty Grape"

There is also Hunger Task Force food drive all day at the Milwaukee and Greenfield locations. Bring in three non-perishable food items and get 10 percent off and non-exclusive or limited Record Store Day item and a free gift, while supplies last.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., where he lived until he was 17, Bobby received his BA-Mass Communications from UWM in 1989 and has lived in Walker's Point, Bay View, Enderis Park, South Milwaukee and on the East Side.

He has published three non-fiction books in Italy – including one about an event in Milwaukee history, which was published in the U.S. in autumn 2010. Four more books, all about Milwaukee, have been published by The History Press.

With his most recent band, The Yell Leaders, Bobby released four LPs and had a songs featured in episodes of TV's "Party of Five" and "Dawson's Creek," and films in Japan, South America and the U.S. The Yell Leaders were named the best unsigned band in their region by VH-1 as part of its Rock Across America 1998 Tour. Most recently, the band contributed tracks to a UK vinyl/CD tribute to the Redskins and collaborated on a track with Italian novelist Enrico Remmert.

He's produced three installments of the "OMCD" series of local music compilations for OnMilwaukee.com and in 2007 produced a CD of Italian music and poetry.

In 2005, he was awarded the City of Asti's (Italy) Journalism Prize for his work focusing on that area. He has also won awards from the Milwaukee Press Club.

He has be heard on 88Nine Radio Milwaukee talking about his "Urban Spelunking" series of stories, in that station's most popular podcast.
