Pezzettino goes double platinum ... in advance!
When Pezzettino wanted to get "Lub Dub," her awesome collaboration with LMNTylst, pressed, she took matters into her own hands and used Kickstarter to get fans involved. That proved a wise move.
Offering a wide variety of premiums for folks donating at many price points, Margaret Stutt -- the Milwaukee musician now living in Brooklyn that calls herself Pezzettino -- allowed her growing fan base to get involved in this project.
Today, she told her fans that they've made a massive success of her plan. OK, so not really double platinum, but she's raised twice as much as she was seeking to manufacture the disc. And there are still 12 days left on the project.
"Hey everyone!! We reached 200 percent funding today!! That's totally awesome," she wrote in an e-mail that also announced the upcoming release of an EP of bonus tracks.
"We're adding an extra track to the album. The entire album, mastered, will be up for download soon."
The new track is called "Ya Missed the Boat" and you can hear it in this video."Lub Dub" is officially released at a Pezzettino / Mondo Lucha gig at Turner Hall on Saturday, Sept. 11 at 8 p.m.

Urban spelunking: Dome of the Basilica of St. Josaphat
Published May 16, 2012
A big fan of behind the scenes visits, I've traversed catwalks soaring high over concert stages, descended into the basements of schools and gone pretty much anywhere folks with keys will let me go.
