Drew Olson has spent much of his professional life writing and talking about sports, but that's primarily because none of the media outlets in and around Milwaukee has ever hired a reporter for the Springsteen beat.
Olson, who joined OnMilwaukee.com in 2004 after 12 years covering the Brewers for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, has been a devoted Springsteen fan since the late 1970s and has attended nearly three dozen concerts in eight different states.
In addition to the Boss fetish, which he shares with his good friend Kevin Brandt, known as the wisecracking "KB" on the WKLH morning show, Drew is interested in a range of topics that appeal to OnMilwaukee.com readers, such as music, politics, social media, Summerfest, cooking (on the grill, anyway), bars and restaurants, parenting and -- of course -- sports.
Given his long tenure as a traveling sportswriter, Olson also has extensive opinions on the airline, hotel and car rental industries. At the request of his friends, he most keeps those to himself.
