Yesterday, rapper JackItDown Brown released his latest effort, an EP called "Beats and Rhymes, Vol. 1," produced by UK producer Stealf.

Brown's voice is reminiscent of West Coast emcee Tray Deee and his style is a throwback to the early '90s hardcore street rap, and the project's beats lay samples over fat basslines which gives it more of a West Coast feel as well.

JackItDown Brown also lends himself to more endearing topics like the pure enjoyment of experiencing the firsts of a person's favorite things, and for Brown rapping is on that list. Brown even gets legendary Kool G. Rap on the project for a feature.

Here's his song "I Kill Everything" and following is the music video for "I'm Real," both of which are from "Beats and Rhymes, Vol. 1."

The project is available through most major digital music distributors via Island Def Jam Digital Distribution.
