Our good friends at WMSE need your help to update the equipment that they use for their fantastic Local/Live series, which has seen many Milwaukee bands/musicians create unique performances of their music.

WMSE has started a Kickstarter account to raise the $30,000 needed.

Kickstarter is a service that allows people to raise money for specific projects in exchange for some goodies as determined by the person/people looking for the money.

The catch with Kickstarter is that none of the money raised will be given to the person/place unless the goal is 100 percent met or exceeded.

That's right. It's ALL or NOTHING. Pretty intense, isn't it?

According to the Kickstarter page, people have pledged $4,134 of the $30,000 – or 13 percent – needed so far and there are only 56 days left to get them to their goal. Pledging ends on Dec. 22 at 9 p.m. Central.

WMSE also says, "This project will also allow WMSE to expand programming to include the recording and production of entire albums for local artists and increase the number of live in-studio performances from touring artists that visit Milwaukee."

Take a look at the video on their Kickstarter page to learn more about why they need the new equipment and donate to a great musical cause.
