If you read this blog regularly, or any of the music columns in other major Milwaukee media, you probably know about WMSE's Kickstarter fundraiser that was set up to replace the very outdated equipment that makes their Local/Live program a possibility.

As it stands right now there are two more weeks for them to find the final third – or $10,000 – they need to be able to get the dollars pledged to them by loyal lovers of WMSE.

Kickstarter is an all-or-nothing pledge-based site so if they don't hit $30K by Thursday, Dec. 22 at 9 p.m. CDT, they get zip, zilch, zero. The money is not taken from the pledgers and their support becomes purely symbolic.

Until recently receiving an amazing pledge of $10,000 from Bob and Jenny Hillis – in honor of Jenny Hillis' parents Bob and Genie Friedman – things looked pretty dire for Local/Live. However, now it looks like reaching $30,000 is actually possible!

If you aren't familiar with Local/Live or would like to hear WMSE's plea for your support, please watch this video and then click the link for their Kickstarter.

Two weeks. $10,000. Come on Milwaukee, Wisconsin and beyond – we can do this!
