There’s a lot of passion over burgers in Milwaukee, so I wanted to share a new review of AJ Bombers.  Hat tip to Milwaukee Magazine’s Ann Christensen and others for pointing out this SeriousEats.com post.

Titled "Milwaukee: What’s All the Hype About at AJ Bombers?" it’s a lengthy feature by Lacey Muszynski, a local writer and editor (Muszynski worked for mke, the Journal Communications weekly that folded several years ago) who is employed by the site, as well as a local publisher of industrial magazines.

Muszynski takes Bombers to task calling out its "aggressive marketing," "hype and cliquey Internet following" and "lacking" signature burgers.

We wrote the very first story about AJ Bombers, and I do enjoy their burgers and have put it in writing.  For the record, AJ Bombers has never been a paid advertiser with OnMilwaukee.com, though its owner, Joe Sorge, has advertised his other restaurants in the past.

I’ll let you read and react to this latest review.  Have fun.
