For the ninth straight year, October is Dining Month on OnMilwaukee, presented by the restaurants of Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, dining guides, delectable features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food, as well as voting for your "Best of Dining 2015."

Why did this take so long?

Beginning today, Oct. 6, all 125 McDonald’s restaurants throughout Southeastern Wisconsin will serve breakfast all day.

"All Day Breakfast" was the No. 1 request from the chain's customers. In fact, more than 120,000 people tweeted McDonald’s asking for breakfast throughout the day in the past year alone.

"We’re excited to offer our most popular breakfast items at any time of day. It’s something our customers have been asking for," said Robert Pyles, a McDonald’s owner/operator with 15 restaurants in Milwaukee. "We appreciate and value customer feedback and we’re looking forward to offering them the ability to enjoy breakfast at McDonald’s anytime."

Now, not every item will be available, but after 10:30 a.m., the following menu items can be enjoyed along with – of course – everything else on the McDonald’s menu:

McMuffin Sandwiches
Egg McMuffin
Sausage McMuffin with Egg
Sausage McMuffin
Hotcakes with Sausage
Hotcakes
Sausage Burrito
Sides:
Fruit ‘N Yogurt Parfait
Fruit & Maple Oatmeal
Hash Browns

To celebrate the launch of All Day Breakfast, local McDonald’s restaurants award "Breakfast for Lunch for Ten" in a random drawing of Twitter followers each week in October. To enter, contestants must "follow" @McDonaldsMKE on Twitter and tweet, "Bring me breakfast for lunch!" and include the name of their workplace.

Winners will be selected each Monday afternoon and have McDonald’s breakfast items for ten people delivered to their workplace by McDonald’s "All-Star" Crew, who are employees of locally-owned McDonald’s restaurants and are experienced in everything behind the counter.

The McDonald's team will drive a "Breakfast Mobile," a specially wrapped vehicle provided courtesy of the Darrow Automotive Group. The "Breakfast mobile" also will be seen throughout the area during the month, with All-Star Crew members awarding prizes.  In fact, this car brought me breakfast today.  Thanks!
