Bring back this Storm the Bastille design

I love the first night of Bastille Days. It's seemingly always blessed with perfect weather, wonderful people and, of course, the annual evening run through greater Downtown Milwaukee called "Storm the Bastille."

OnMilwaukee.com is a longtime sponsor of the run and I've stormed nearly every year of my young adult life. My parents and several friends always join us, and it's truly become one of the best nights of the great Milwaukee summer.

I also love the Storm the Bastille T-shirts. Long sleeved and creative, they wear well and last.  The East Town Association always does a fine job and this year's look is again very cool.  But, for years, one of my Dad's friends has raved about a design from the late 1980s that he simply refers to it as the "suspender T-shirt." Until last night, I hadn't seen it.

Now that I have, I want it.

Take a look above. It's old school cool.

And, in 1987 the run started even later.  10 p.m. as compared to the current 9 p.m. start time.  An extra hour for socializing (read drinking).

I'm ready for a great weekend at Bastille Days, but I'm also ready for a return next year to this classic T-shirt design.  What do you say, East Town?
