If one of your favorite things about Fridays is the fact that it’s Cookie Day at Treat Bakeshop in the Third Ward, then you’re going to want to read this news.

Yes, you can still order cookies to pick up on Fridays at 207 E. Buffalo St., Suite 212. But, now you can also order peanut butter or chocolate chunk cookies by the dozen and have them shipped anywhere in the U.S. Yay!

This is good news for those of us who have blabbed on and on to friends and family about how great Treat cookies are, but we never seem to have enough leftover from our Friday hauls to share.

It’s also great news for folks who love classy, fun packaging and little custom muslin bags printed with the word "LOVE" where the "O" is a cookie.

The cookies are $48 a dozen, but shipping is free. And you can even add a personal message for the recipient if you like.

More great news

Treat also launched two additional new offerings while I wasn’t looking (or maybe I was busy eating their cookies). The first is mini cookies: delicious little versions of regular Treat cookies that fit neatly in the palm of your hand. They make a lot of sense for parties. But, they're also great for snacking. And because they’re smaller, you don't have to limit yourself to just one.

Mini cookies come in three flavors: chocolate chunk, flourless peanut butter and oatmeal raisin, and they are $25 for two dozen. But, you do need to pre-order them before noon on Thursday for pick-up on Friday. Or you can order them online and have them shipped to you.

Treat has also managed to come out with an incredible new offering: the 12" Chocolate Chunk Cookie Cake ($35). They’re the perfect size for birthday celebrations, graduations, anniversaries… or just a couple of really hungry cookie eaters. These cookies can’t be shipped, and they must be pre-ordered no later than noon on Thursday for pick-up on Friday.

Cookie Friday takes place every Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. or until the cookies are gone, gone, gone.
