In my recent article about spending time atop the Wisconsin Gas Light Building checking out "the flame," building manager Amy Schroeckenthaler discloses that it costs about $3,000 a month in energy bills to keep the flame a-glow.

This sparked numerous Talkbackers to give their opinions as to whether or not it's worth it. What do you think? Is the flame an integral part of Milwaukee's history and image that should remain aglow at all costs, or is it a big waste of money?
