"Bar Month" at OnMilwaukee.com is back for another round! The whole month of February, we're serving up intoxicatingly fun bars and club articles -- including guides, bartender profiles, drink recipes and even a little Brew City bar history. Cheers!

Chances are, I didn’t invent a new alcoholic concoction because, as we all know, there aren’t many, if any, new ideas left. Most likely, this cocktail has been around for ages, since the dawn of Pepsi Light, and I’m just some egocentric chach-ette looking for credit where no credit is due. But, in this chach-ette’s defense, two seasoned bartenders -- one at Art Bar and one at Bay View Bowl -- said they had never poured this request before.

But enough cryptic talk. No drumroll please. The drink is Coke and Absolut Citron. And it’s really tasty.

You see, once I hit 33, I had to find creative ways to stay awake long enough to partake in post-sunset debauchery. Opting against crack cocaine, I chose caffeinated cocktails as my mood elevators of choice.

Sure, I’ll guzzle down Red Bull mixers, but truth be told, I’m a Coca-Cola girl at heart. However, I don’t always feel like the ol’ standby, rum and Coke, so I decided to try something new.

Since I do like fruity cola and I do love the vodka, I gave the Coke-solut Citron a try, and it's pretty good. Be sure to order it with a fresh slice of lemon.
