Wanna make your very own porn? Madison Young, an award-winning filmmaker, performer, director and writer, is hosting a workshop on Saturday, April 13 at Tool Shed, 2427 N. Murray Ave. It starts at 8 p.m.

If you can put away your prude and trash your blush for the evening, Young will teach you the nuts-and-bolts of writing a script, casting and financing your porn. You'll also get the skinny on how to get your movies to the intended audience – even if that audience is just you and your partner.

Plus, Young will share info on how to create and distribute dvds, how to get films screened around the world and how to create your own website, along with the less sexy aspects of the industry like paperwork and pay rates.

Young is a four-time Feminist Porn Award winner and one-time AEBN Award Winner for Best Kink Film. She has been nominated for multiple AVN awards both as a performer and director.

"Madison presents a class that is so chockablock full of real information that filmmakers can use right away. Of course, the topic is pornography, which still has its detractors in our culture. But the knowledge shared is priceless to anyone who has even a casual interest in the industry," says the Tool Shed's Lucky Tomaszek.

The cost of the workshop is $25. It is expected to sell out, so sign up online in advance.

Molly Snyder started writing and publishing her work at the age 10, when her community newspaper printed her poem, "The Unicorn.” Since then, she's expanded beyond the subject of mythical creatures and written in many different mediums but, nearest and dearest to her heart, thousands of articles for OnMilwaukee.

Molly is a regular contributor to FOX6 News and numerous radio stations as well as the co-host of "Dandelions: A Podcast For Women.” She's received five Milwaukee Press Club Awards, served as the Pfister Narrator and is the Wisconsin State Fair’s Celebrity Cream Puff Eating Champion of 2019.
