If you, like me, love an estate sale, this one sounds particularly interesting.

After years of accumulating items from guests and residents of the Shorecrest Hotel, the Balistrieri family will host an estate sale at the hotel on Saturday, May 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Antiques, collectibles, art, vintage stereo gear, glassware, lamps and mid-century modern furniture will be sold, in addition to personal items collected by the Balistrieri family.

In 1984, the Shorecrest Hotel was among the first privately owned properties to be listed in the State of Wisconsin's Registry of Historic Buildings and The National Registry of Historic Places.

Many popular local musicians called the Shorecrest Hotel home, including Gordon Gano (Violent Femmes), Sammy Llanas (BoDeans), Brian Ritchie (Violent Femmes), Sigmund Snopek and Kostia (film composer and recording artist).
