Twenty years ago, Water Street Brewery started offering its beer to go in growlers, and recently introduced 16-ounce swing top bottles. They are for sale at all four locations: Downtown, Grafton, Lake Country and Oak Creek.

Water Street Brewery brews all of its beer onsite and serves it from tank to tap.

"Our guests can fill their swing tops with beer that literally is brewed in small batches and tapped direct from our signature brewing systems," says Water Street’s director of marketing Tina Lawler. "Then they can bring the bottles back for refills."

The available beers range depending on the season. The cost is $5 for one swing top bottle of beer or $20 for a four pack. Refills are $3 each.

Currently Water Street is offering dopplebock and Irish stout. In May, a maibock will also be available.

To date, Water Street has brewed 78,000 half barrels, which is approximately 12,987,700 glasses of beer.

"The swing tops give craft beer lovers an option for more variety, so they can create a custom four pack with any of our beers - even our limited editions," says Lawler. "The best part of this is being able to try new brews that you might not have wanted to grab in a growler since it's a large amount. Now you can grab a bottle and give it a try."

Will do!
