MKEXSW: High gas prices make road to Austin an expensive route
With gas prices creeping toward $4 per gallon across the country, driving to SXSW is a pricey route.
We've already met a few bands along the way that are opting to just fly down to SXSW to avoid the high cost of a road tour.
Here is a quick video of Jaill bass player Andrew Harris talking about it outside of a gas station in Indiana. Sorry about the audio quality, but we were standing in what felt like a mild tornado.

This is Downtown Historic Cedarburg at its summery best. Sure, the berries are the stars, but there's much more to this massive hometown celebration than that. With a pancake breakfast, wine tastings, live music, art shows, shopping as far as the eye can see and as much ice cream as you can eat, there's something at the Strawberry Festival for everyone.

In support of last week's Downtown Dining Week, I decided to visit the Turkish restaurant Tulip, 360 E. Erie St., in hopes of discovering my new favorite Mediterranean eatery. I am in a serious and long-term love affair with hummus, so I couldn't resist a chance to eat a meal complementary to my favorite ethnic flavor.
