The Milwaukee Art Museum goes wireless

Time Warner Cable is partnering with the Milwaukee Art Museum to wire the facility for Wi-Fi, allowing free wireless Internet access for museum-goers throughout all its galaries.

The area's largest TV program provider also plans to air museum programming on its Wisconsin on Demand (Channel 411) and promote special discounts for Time Warner subscribers. The company will also sponsor three exhibitions annually at the museum.

In a statement, museum director Daniel Keegan, said "Ubiquitous Wi-Fi at the museum provides the platform to present the next generation of interactive experiences for our hundreds of thousands of annual visitors."
