Linus came to the Wisconsin Humane Society as a stray with an injured leg. A thorough exam and x-rays revealed that Linus had a luxating patella, which basically means that his kneecap was constantly sliding out of place and becoming dislocated.
Consequently, Linus was in a lot of pain and had a tough time walking. After knee surgery and weeks in recovery, Linus' knee is as good as new! This healthy dog is now excited to frolic in huge leaf piles this fall ... perhaps with you?
Linus is a dynamic, little dog with distinctive black and white markings and a big-guy personality. His antics are constantly entertaining Wisconsin Humane Society staff and volunteers, who love to walk and play with Linus.
At 2 years old, this rat terrier/Chihuahua mix has many years to bond with a guardian who loves life as much as he does. The adoption fee for Linus and all dogs at WHS, covers spay/neuter surgery, microchip identification, a health exam, initial vaccinations and heartworm tests.
If you love the Halloween season, chances are your canine pal does, too. (Or, at least, you tell yourself that.) Grab your best furry friend, your favorite costume and get to Brady Street! The 6th Annual Brady Street Pet Parade promises to bring out the best barkers.
Dogs can strut their stuff and prance their way down Brady Street in full costume on Sunday, Oct. 7. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the parade beginning at 1:30 p.m. The fun includes a costume contest, vendor booths and displays and a "blessing of the pets" by Father Tim at St. Rita's church. Check the link below to register now! All proceeds will benefit the animals at the Wisconsin Humane Society.

Journey opened its hour-and-a-half set at the BMO Harris Pavilion with "Be Good to Yourself" and served a steady stream of its classics: "Separate Ways," "Any Way You Want It" and "Only the Young." No one can ever truly replace "The Voice" Steve Perry, but sound-alike Arnel Pineda comes damn close -- and, at age 46, he brings his own youthful vibrancy to the band's current line-up.

I'll save the $35 and listen to the CD I've listened to a couple thousand times." The live show of "So You Think You Can Dance" was a translation of the weekly TV show -- without the competition element -- replete with "fan favorite" numbers and solos. Live is always better, right? Not in this case. A few things worked against the effort to bring the small screen to a live venue.

Playing a 45ish-minute set proved to be a bit of a challenge for the young band, with just one album and one EP on its discography. Perhaps it explains why frontman Ezra Koenig chatted up the audience after each and every song.
