Last week's episode of "The Walking Dead" may have ended with a hot Richonne moment suddenly interrupted by the undeniably tricky Jesus, but this week went back to the same sense of normalcy as last week began – up until Rick and Daryl came back from their run with their new unwanted passenger.

Sasha and Abraham took a stroll through the neighborhood as they discussed Abe’s disagreement with Maggie having a baby, as well as Sasha’s decision to take more shifts at the watch post. Their interaction was familiar, yet awkward. They’ve shared this weird connection since the day they were stuck in an office waiting for Daryl; however, this is the first time we’re seeing their connection truly play out. Abraham seemed genuinely sad when Sasha told him that they wouldn’t be partners anymore.

It’s obvious that Sasha made this move because she doesn’t know how to deal with their new feelings, especially since Abraham is in a relationship with Rosita. The moment that thought crossed my mind, the scene immediately switched to Rosita laying in bed, trying to get Abraham’s attention. He was literally in bed with a hot mama while thinking about a completely different hottie – ouch. Rosita presented him with a necklace made from the taillight of the famous food truck that saved their asses, to which Abe responded by letting her know she was "damn near perfection" as he thought about Sasha. It seems like we may have a messy love triangle on our hands!

Maggie began growing cucumbers and tomatoes for the town of Alexandria and is obviously anal about making sure they grow correctly – but we all know that she’s referring more to raising a baby than taking care of some vegetables. Glenn calmly reassured her that her veggies (and her baby) will grow, then they saw some people rushing to the basement where their prisoner was being held.

Meanwhile, back at Rick’s humble abode, Jesus got a gun pointed to his head by the OG Carl. When asked what his business there was, Jesus told Carl that he was waiting for his mom and dad to get dressed. Carl’s raised eyebrow gave away his complete confusion, but the look he gave when Rick and Michonne scurried out the room half naked was priceless. Everyone put the awkward question of what went on in Rick’s bedroom to the back of their minds and attempted to have a nice powwow with Jesus. Jesus assures them that they’re all on the same side and lets them know that he’s from a community that needs a little assistance. According to him, not only is there another stable community out there, but there’s a whole trade operation between them! Good or bad news … I’m not sure.

Rick agreed to accompany Jesus to his community with the intention of getting food and setting up a trade agreement between them. Before leaving, Rick had to address the elephant in the room and let Carl know that his thing with Michonne was "different," to which Carl responded with giving his full support. With that, Rick, Michonne, Daryl, Abraham, Glenn, Maggie and Jesus loaded up the trailer to head to Jesus’s mysterious compound.

Abraham finally had the chance to ask a few questions about Maggie and Glenn’s baby, namely, "When you were pouring the Bisquick, were you trying to make pancakes?" Glenn gave an open and honest answer and told him that not only did he intentionally make pancakes, but he and Maggie discussed the issue extensively. They're now trying to build a life, and not carrying on their family would assume never recovering from the looming event of the apocalypse. Abraham was still a bit dumbfounded, but he’ll come around.

Rick and Michonne were in the front seat holding hands as they spotted a fresh car crash along the way. Jesus confirmed that the car came from his group, so it was obviously time for a good ol' rescue mission.

Maggie kept a gun pointed at Jesus outside while the others went inside a building to rescue Jesus’s friends, which I’m glad they did because I don’t trust him as yet. The rescue mission went fairly well, until Abraham almost stabbed an injured man to death. Mind you, the guy did pop out a little too abruptly, so what did he expect? Within the group they rescued was a man named Harlan, a former OB-GYN and current doctor at Jesus’s community. They really hit the jackpot with this guy, as he came through with prenatal vitamins! You go Glen Coco!

The trailer came to a halt in a puddle of mud, and they realized they arrived at "The Hilltop." Jesus allowed Rick and his posse to keep their weapons because he wanted to establish trust between the two groups and even informed them that his group is running low on ammo. They met the Hilltop leader, Gregory, a real prick. Rick noticed his attitude immediately and let Maggie know that he probably shouldn’t talk with Gregory, so it’s now her job to negotiate.

Gregory spoke to Maggie condescendingly and even chose to call her the wrong name. Despite his disrespect, Maggie held her own. She brought up trading medication, but he was focused only on food. Gregory told Maggie that he can’t just give things away for free – but she’s more than welcome to work for him. I couldn’t believe how this sleazeball of a man was so comfortable in coming onto Maggie in the way that he did. How dare he? Do we need to get Glenn in here? No worries, Maggie set him straight with passive comment on them being low on ammo (aka "Watch your back, bro").

After seeing their conversation, I’m absolutely elated that Rick didn’t attend that meeting – that man would’ve been either dead or seriously beaten if Rick was involved!

The group deliberated after Maggie’s talk, and Jesus tried to assuage their disappointment by letting them know that his group wants to generate trade, but didn’t need ammo because their walls hold against attacks. Rick reaffirmed that his group needs food, and they’re going to get it no matter what. A disturbance grew at the gates of the Hilltop as people from the group returned from an excursion all frazzled. We find that some of their people are dead and one currently imprisoned – all thanks to a guy named Negan.

One of the men from the group was ordered to kill Gregory, and man, was he lucky that Rick and the posse were there! A tussle ensued, leading Abraham to nearly be choked to death and Rick being on the ground with a knife to his throat. As he urged everyone to get back, the idiot forgot to realize who he was dealing with and ended up with a knife in his carotid artery. Rick got up like the boss he is (unbothered, of course) and looked on at the crowd, his lower face drenched in blood.

The whole town turned on him for killing their group member, even though he did it in self defense. Jesus got everyone to calm down, but was sure to let Rick know that things aren’t as simple as they seem.

Jesus sat down with Rick’s group to discuss Negan and his group called "The Saviors." Negan had made demands and threats to the people of the Hilltop and resorted to beating a 16 year-old boy to death because, "They needed to understand right off the bat." Cold. Blooded. Gregory had no choice but to comply with Neegan’s demands; as a result, they were forced to give Negan half of everything they had in exchange for their lives.

Rick offered to take out Negan, seeing that confrontation is never been something they’ve had trouble with – obviously. "The Boogeyman ain’t sh*t," said Daryl, and we all know he means what he says. Gregory agreed to work with Rick’s group, but only after speaking with Maggie again. Maggie lead the slithering Gregory into a corner and made him give half of their current food stock in exchange of killing Negan. Her delivery of demands was flawless; she was sweet, stern and trustworthy, all in one go. Snaps for Maggie!

Through it all, Maggie and Glenn were able to share the experience of the first ultrasound of their baby. Everyone passed the picture around in the trailer, giving them all hope for the future. They’re so close to stability, but the roadblock that is "Negan" threatens all their triumphs at the drop of a hat. I sure hope this goes well ...
