After yesterday's post, I guess I should explain a little more about Miller Valley. On State Street between 38th Street on the east end and 45th Street on the west end, is the Miller brewery, packaging, and distribution center. Frederick Miller purchased the Plank Road Brewery in 1855... Posted by milwaukeedailyphoto at 12:13 p.m. | Talkbacks Category: Milwaukee Buzz |

I, like many others, tuned in to watch the debate between two national politicians as they rallied to demonstrate they were worthy of being voted second in command of the United States. Though entertaining, there wasn't much to learn. It is thrilling to finally have a case for media hype, however... Posted by cheesebabe74 at 11:44 a.m. | Talkbacks Category: Politics |

Thursday October 2nd, 2008 - Lake Villa, ILTo be a baseball fan within 50 miles of where I live is no picnic right now. I am exactly halfway between Chicago and Milwaukee and everyone is on suicide watch. The Chicago Cubs stink. The Chicago White Sox suck. The Milwaukee Brewers rot. It’s al... As you cheer on the Brewers in game two of the NLDS against the Phillies tonight, send a little cheer of thanks to my pal Aaron Gross. Why? Well, if it wasn't for a keen observation on Aaron's part our hometeam might never have made it to their first playoff series in 26 years. It was on July 3, 20... This building sits in the heart of "Miller Valley", and was (apparently), the stables for the Miller Brewery. I suppose it makes sense that when they were delivering beer by horse-drawn wagon, they needed somewhere to put the horses. :) Today, the building appears to be a garage at the ... Wednesday October 1st, 2008 - Lake Villa, ILPretty good effort today. I put in a solid 16 hour work day trying to figure out how to do all the things I’ve let stagnate the past few months. I knew I couldn’t do them all in a day but I did at least get started on a few of them. It felt ... Posted by ItsMrLucky at 10:46 p.m. | Talkbacks Category: Arts & Entertainment |

No matter what the problem or the cause - cutting taxes, privatizing (or eliminating) public services, and/or eliminating programs always seems to be the Republican answer.Redistributive policies seem to only flow upward these days (and most days). I've often been told that my life plays out like a sitcom. I've been in every embarassing situation known to man. For instance last weekend I was taking out the trash and noticed a few bees hovering around the dumpster. I am highly allergic to bees and usually go out of my way to avoid them. ... The October 2008 Theme Day is Lines!I was recently at the Wood National Cemetery (see last Wednesday's picture as well), and took this picture of just a few of the many gravestones there. While I did not know the theme for today's picture at the time, the symmetry and care taken to place each sto... Posted by milwaukeedailyphoto at 11:33 a.m. | Talkbacks Category: Milwaukee Buzz |

No time to edit today! The article seemed rather surface-oriented and barbaric. To 'prey' on someone because of the 'looks', seems rather antiquated or even cro-magnum. I prefer to make them do stunts. More on that later.....in just a moment. First for example, if I am considering a new mate... Posted by BibitMagnus at 11:28 a.m. | Talkbacks Category: Bars & Clubs |
