We accidently found Groppi's in Bay View when we were on our way to Palomino. It's actually just across the street (1441 S. Russell Ave.) Groppi's was a cool little Italian grocery store that had a lot of specialty items you might not find at your average Pick 'n Save. And it's old too... it's been there since 1910. We decided to stop in and have a look around. As the list suggested, the meat department was impressive. Jen and I don't eat much sausage, but we did leave with some pretty fancy looking chocolate and a jar of horseradish sauce (random, I know). This is the type of place I would shop at if I lived in Bay View. Friendly and not crowded. Website...
