Three very much up and coming bands are joining forces on Saturday, October 18th for a show at the BBC Upper Level. It has been a show in the works since mid-summer.
Blue, Seriously is quietly establishing an underground reputation for putting on an upbeat and ear-soothing rock show. David Goeb has vocals that have frequently been compared to Goran of Milwaukee's very own The Gufs. With riveting bass lines and cool as a cucumber drum beats, blue, seriously will keep your feet tapping and knees rocking and wanting more.
Jayk is very much established as one of Milwaukee's main attractions. Since the inception of his full band, Jayk's draw will have you bumping elbows with the person next to you. With his energy and baritone soothing to your soul, it's a show not to miss. With his Record finally nearing completion, you may want to check him out while you can.
Daydreams and reigning 'Downtown Milwaukee' battle of the bands winner, have come out of nowhere to take on Milwaukee in their youth. With a unique flavor of chill and rock, they are already slotted to play at next year's Summerfest.
The three bands together exemplify Milwaukee's local originality and hopeful direction away from the 'cover band era.'
The show starts at 9:30pm, but I would get there early to get prime placement as it's guaranteed to fill up.
