I'm blue.

It could be all the changes; I'm not necessarily good with change.  Changes at work Changes in my life.  Changes coming for our country.  It could be the weather (I know it's the weather).  The worst part is, at least today, I can't shake it.

One thing that's been heavy on my mind are bills.  This economy hasn't been easy on anyone.  And healthcare costs don't help.  Because I have worked in both the theatre community and the hospitality industry - two work forces who are uninsured orunderinsured - I am surrounded by people who are sick and only getting sicker because THEY have to ration for themselves how often they can see the doctor.  It doesn't seem right.  It keeps people from working, it gets other people sick and, I believe, adds to the collective stress of our community.

We need to solve this problem.  Whatever your stance, everyone needs free or REALLY affordable access to healthcare.  I am self-insured; I pay $146/mo for doctor visits and prescriptions.  Everything else comes out of my pocket up to $5K (not readily on hand).  Ugh!

Watching the news doesn't help.
