The last choir concert of the 2008-2009 year at Pewaukee High School was exceptional. The level of the performers singing was college grade and challenging. The musical abilities of the students were showcased wonderfully and greatly entertaining. That is, until the lights went out and would not come back on. It took a while for the kids to regroup and finish the concert in the near dark, crowded auditorium. They ended the concert well, making friends and parents proud. But it was obvious a change needed to be made to upgrade the school’s facilities.
Unfortunately, when the time came to pass a referendum to improve the school, the community voted it down. Wally Dog is so very disappointed that the people of Pewaukee couldn’t vote yes to support the kids. It’s kind of like that last concert. The lights have gone out on the kids again.
