Best Bloody Mary? Please join our Write-in Campaign.

AJ Bombers didn't make the list for "Best Bloody" in the new OnMilwaukee.com survey , but I was informed that if I wanted to make a run at the title in the category as a WRITE IN candidate I could do so.

So here we go!

If you've been to AJ Bombers and had our (obviously not so) Famous Bloody Bomber with its free domestic shorty and a 1/3 burger stick with bacon and muenster cheese wrap - and you LOVED it please. please visit OnMilwaukee.com's "Best Of" survey at http://www.onmilwaukee.com/bars/articles/bestbars09.html and find the Best Bloody category. Skip all the others and go to the "other" choice, there you write us in.

I've never felt more like Peter Brady! It was Peter right?

Now, if you haven't tried our bloody mary as of yet, I'd like to offer a challenge, the #bloodychallenge if you will. Come in to Bombers any day and time and I'll sample it for you at NO CHARGE. Just mention our write in campaign at OnMilwaukee.com. If you like your sample, the challenge is on! Like ours best or we'll buy you one of your favorites! FROM ANYWHERE in MKE.

Thanks for reading! Wish us luck.

35054 Empty Nester, not a problem, I'm just pleased that you've been able to stop in and try ours out. No question that the garnish can sometimes be the star in a WI Bloody and I'm glad that you we're happy with that part of our specialty version. Thanks for the business.

34931 Newschool, sorry for the ingredient-misID but there was definitely something creamy in there and it tasted suspiciously like mayo. Unless the bartender that day took some strange liberties with your recipe?? In any case, I'm not used to/not a fan of any creaminess in my bloody, but I may take you up on your offer to make one the way I like it. Thanks

Sorry - hate to say it but we can't vote for this one as Milwaukee's best. The garnishes are very good but the drink itself was barely tolerable.

35054 Cio. thanks for your feedback. However, there is ZERO mayo in our secret bloody mix. That sounds kinda gross. I'd certainly share the recipe with you if you'd like, or even better, mix one up just the way you like it.
Thanks again for your feedback.
Joe

34931 The menu calls this candidate for best bloody "Bomber's Secret Bloody Mary." Apparently the "secret" is that there is a whole lot of mayo in the mix. I cannot eat mayo. I would have liked to be informed by the staff or at least the menu before I shelled out the $6 or $7 is cost. I couldn't drink it so I gave it to a friend, but even he, who loves mayo AND bloodys, wasn't going for this drink. Please at least tell your patrons when you have a very non-traditional ingredient in a traditional drink or dish. There is nothing worse than a menu lacking in key descriptions.
