Re: Senate Approves Medicare/TRICARE Doctor Payment Cut Delay
Dear Representative Moore:
As you are likely aware, on January 28, the Senate amended and passed H. J. Res. 45 which would increase the national debt limit and implement PAYGO procedures that would suspend the 21 percent cut in Medicare and Tricare physician reimbursements for five years. If this legislation is not passed by the House before February 28, these cuts will take effect on March 1, 2010.
This Nation's millions of seniors, military retirees, and family beneficiaries served by Medicare and Tricare need Congress to pass this legislation to stop the reduction of physician reimbursements. Many physicians have already indicated they will no longer accept new Medicare/Tricare patients. Some have already stopped doing so. A smaller number have already told current patients to find another provider.
Please do all within your power to have H. J. Res. 45 brought to the floor for vote. When H. J. Res. 45 to comes to the House floor, I strongly urge you to vote for passage.
Respectfully,
Don Boots Jensen
Sergeant - United States Marine Corps 1973-1979
