WINTER Better A Second Time

Adam Rapp's RED LIGHT WINTER opened last week... for a second time, in Milwaukee. Youngblood Theatre first launched the show last winter and closed after only three performances; actor Andrew Voss was stabbed following their Saturady night performance. He has since healed, returned to the stage and Youngblood has brought WINTER back...and it couldn't be hotter!
RED LIGHT WINTER is the story of two friends, Matt and Davis played by David Rothrock and Andrew Voss, respectively. The two end up in Amsterdam when a red-headed prostitute, played by Tess Cipinski, comes between the two in the most interesting and emotionally revealing way... for all three.
The show has been given rave reviews by the local media, so I won't try to convince you it's good; it is. What I will try to impress is how Milwaukee's theatre scene is breeding some really fresh, raw, sexy, YOUNG entertainment that has people talking. The show is just $15 at The Alchemist Theatre in Bay View (with an attached bar and drinks allowed in the theater - score!) It's a great night out. The show is provocative and dramatic yet funny. Director Benjamin Wilson gave even more this time around as did each of the three actors. This time around, the show seems more mature in its emotional energy.
Read the other reviews. Ask if any of your friends have seen it. Take a chanceand lay down $15. The ride will be well worth it, especially if you haven't spent a lot of time in a theater... Youngblood is a great way to find out what you've been missing!
