Summerfest Rewind

3639-694351696716830479511390369694447566308565334218n

It has been exactly three weeks since my band, Coldspring Drive, took the stage to help kick off Summerfest. Until now, I had been at an emotional high from the experience of a lifetime, but the feelings have now withered away. Summerfest is now over, but the same cannot be said for summer.

We can always remember. I can remember every tremble my nervous hands felt as we went through our setlist trying not to mess up. You can remember all the bands, friends and overall crazy characters you saw prancing the Summerfest grounds. But we can all look forward. My band will be recording new songs for the rest of summer until we each go back to our own schools. You (and I) have the opportunity to live and breathe Milwaukee for the rest of summer. Whether at festivals such as German Fest and State Fair or relaxing locations such as Bradford Beach and the public golf courses, city-goers can choose how memorable the remainder of the summer will be.
