There's Nothing to do In MKE

Really? I mean really?
I wish I had a buck for every schmuck who's made this claim through the years because in my opinion they really haven't made any effort whatsoever at trying to find all this city has to offer. As the Summer continues to dwindle here in MKE my wife and I are always trying to figure out what to do, not because there's nothing to do but because there always seems to be too much to choose from in the Summer. Take next weekend as Irish fest (or as our Irish friends refer to it "High Holy Days") open up at the Summerfest grounds, Zoo ala carte takes over the zoo, Parish festivals begin to wind down and the weekly night time free concerts keep rocking all over town (A special shout out toLois Wesener and her Free Music Milwaukee listings), we are perplexed as to what we should do each night, Red Hot Chilli Pipers or Kintra or Trinity Irish Dancers or Bascom Hill or Pat McCurdy.
Next weekend again presents so many options for entertainment, dining and adventure that our schedules just won't allow us to partake in them all. State Fair (minus the knuckleheads) River Rhythyms, Jazz in the Park, Broadway Across America, The Rep, community theaters, Shank Hall, The Rave, The Pabst and Riverside, Tosa Tonight, Chill on the Hill, Waterfront Wednesdays, Live at the Lakefront, Music in the Glen, Summer Arts in the Park, German Fest, Festa Italiana, Polish Fest, Afro-American Fest, Greek Fest, Freeman Friday Nights, Gallery Nights, Easttown Farmers market, West Allis Farmers Market, Tosa Tonight, Riverfront Boat Tours, Iriquois.......... hmmmmmmmm yeah there's nothing to do hear in Milwaukee. Pay up.
