Wisconsin Conceal Carry Training Questions Still Linger

3747-17028450129310395714264357395759680836912270o

With Wisconsin becoming the 49th state to legalize some form of concealed carry, there are a ton of lingering questions.  The same was true in Iowa as they just changed to SHALL ISSUE in January of this year.  Residents were jumping in line to beat the back log that is almost a guarantee should they wait until the Department of Justice starts taking applications.

If you haven't been watching the news, consider yourself lucky.  The media has taken this very hot topic and created mass confusion for consumers.  After the bill was signed, some journalists/reporters were saying that online training may suffice for the training requirement.  This just shows the way news channels and newspapers work.  Run the sure to be popular story now and just retract later.  Instead of guessing, lets leave the homework to the professionals.

Hunters education will also qualify but lets take a look at that a little more in detail.  When you participate in a hunt you should be prepared to shoot something and kill it.  When your carrying a self defense weapon you should actually be looking to avoid confrontations and prepare yourself to walk away from a fight.  Also, these classes are taken when we are young a lot of times and over time we lose a lot of that infromation.

Deciding to carry a concealed weapon is a huge responsibility and one that shouldn't be taken lightly.  Not only must you know the laws pertaining to where you can carry, there are laws that define when deadly force can be used.  A popular phrase by a Colonel in the Army was "An armed Society, is a polite society!"  Wishfully, we would all be caring, sharing, honest, and courteous, but unfortunately we must prepare ourselves for surprise attacks.  Don't think "it could never happen to me."

36086 Sure, you and I may know what will suffice for training, but the average Consumer is being confused by all the media coverage, which was the point of my article. That questions are still lingering in the minds of consumers. Thanks for stopping by!

36093 Actually the law has been signed. We do know what will suffice for the training requirements. Online training by a Law Enforcement agency will meet the training guidelines in the law.
