Human Aftertaste/Peach Pies Burlesque/Operation Stillborn @ Miramar 30 September

Guaranteed to leave a unique taste in your mouth, particularly if you are brave enough to try the canned meat product this band was created to hawk, the Human Aftertaste
takes the stage 30 September at Club Anything, 807 S. 5th Street in Milwaukee
accompanied by Operation Stillborn and Foxy Veronica's Peach Pies Burlesque
troupe.

The Human Aftertaste's goth/rock tunes being as entertaining as their twisted live
performance, this 5-piece freakshow makes a mockery of stereotypical
white-trash culture, but it's all in good fun. Accompanied by canned mystery meat that may have been what the school lunch ladies were serving back when you were a kid, the story goes that Count Jabula (vocalist) and Protis (guitarist) were approached back in 2001 by Big Lar, president and CEO of the Human Aftertaste meat canning company and invited to join his corporation's promotional team. Incorporating "rednecks, dildos, queers, and robots" into their show is their living, breathing commercial for the product.  Hailing from Iowa City, Iowa, and on the Octopoid Productions label, their eccentric costumes and colorful ditties are sure to leave an indelible mark emblazoned upon your brain.  Their outrageous brand of performance art is rumored to have gotten them kicked out of clubs across the country.  Current members include the mullet-sporting lead singer Count Jabula, cross-dressing guitarist Protus, and Georgeous George on drums.

Classing up the Aftertaste's performance that night will be members of Foxy Veronica's Peach Pies Burlesque troupe, from Madison, who describe themselves as "sweet, vivacious, and adorably outrageous". This group of lovelies and one
charming gent perform take the stage and perform their teasing dances to music
of a wide variety.  More accuarately referred to as a 'caburlesque' group (mixing pieces from burlesque and cabaret in with many other varieties of performance art), their tantalizing strips (down to pasties and a g-string) range from classic to silly, but always maintain sexy.

Opening the show is Operation Stillborn, also from Madison, an old-school band who list as their influences punk, hardcore, thrash, and ska, and whose touring history includes bands such as MDC and the Casualties.  The 3-piece band likes 'em fast, loud, and short (their songs, that is).
