Chico Camus Begins Legends of Fighting Bantamweight Grand Prix Tonight

A major hurdle in the form of Illinois prospect Daniel Aguirre stands in the way of Chico Camus and his dream of one day fighting in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
The two square off tonight in the first round of the Legends of Fighting bantamweight tournament – a competition that will ultimately earn one man a contract to fight under the Tachi Palace Fights banner.
Camus, a Roufusport striker that has amassed a record of 9-3 as a professional, once again puts his career dreams on the line tonight in Indianapolis. “King” Camus is looking for his second straight win and his ninth over his past 11 bouts.Standing in Camus’ way is a 21-year-old Team No Ego bantamweight nicknamed “The Assassin”. Aguirre owns a record of 5-1 with victories over jake Grigson, Casey Dyer, Terrance Kinney, Larry DiGiulio, and Dan Funes.
The only career loss for the Plainfield, Illinois native came at the hands of Carson Beebe. With three submission victories, one via decision, and one via knockout, Aguirre has shown the capability of doing it all inside the cage.
Stay tuned to US Combat Sports and Paul Fladten for results from the matchup between Aguirre and Camus as well as the night’s other tournament matchups.
