Sergio Pettis Makes Flyweight Debut Against Chris Haney at North American Fighting Championship on May 4

The first official venture into the flyweight division for Sergio Pettis is set. "The Phenom" will square off against Illinois fighter Chris Haney at North American Fighting Championship "Colosseum" on May 4 in Milwaukee.
After beginning his career with three superb finishes in the bantamweight division, Pettis has decided to drop to his more natural weight of 125-pounds and will make his flyweight debut in May.
The highly touted prospect has impressed with head kick knockouts over Kyle Vivian and Tony Zelinski and most recently submitted longtime veteran Mike Lindquist at Madtown Throwdown 26 in January.

Hoping to slow down Pettis' rapid ascent is Team No Ego's Haney. Hailing from Glendale Heights, "Bad Boy" has compiled a record of 3-2 under professional rules including victories over Joey Diehl, Dexter Wright, and Johnny Coleman.
Interestingly, Haney lists Pettis' older brother Anthony "Showtime" Pettis as one of his favorite athletes on his personal Facebook page. The 24-year-old could throw a wrench into the Pettis family plans if he is able to upset "The Phenom" in front of the Milwaukee-native's hometown crowd in May.
