'Til Death: am. Psych, Dark Clan, I: Scintilla at Club Anything 25 February
Locals am. Psych and the Dark Clan together with Chicago-based I:Scintilla (performing a rare
acoustic set) join in all their industrial glory on Saturday, 25 February for " 'Til Death" at Club Anything, 807 S. 5th Street in Milwaukee.
I: Scintilla, lead by Brittany Bindrim's powerful vocals, cross the boundaries between electronic,
alternative, and rock. The four-piece band, consisting also of Jim Cookas and Brent Leitner as guitarists and
programmers (when not performing acoustically), and Vincent Grech on drums, is on Belgian record label Alfa Matrix.
Established in 2003, I: Scintilla released its last album, "Dying and Falling", in 2010.
The three-piece Dark Clan is noteworthy for their musical prowess and clever lyrics as well as how
much fun they have with musical finesse (as is illustrated in lyrics of songs such as "Goths on a Boat" and their cover of 1980's Swedish rockers Europe's Billboard charted "The Final Countdown").
Headliners am. Psych, on Chicago's WTii Records, is a coldwave revival band with a heavy
synthesizer sound. Together since February of 2003, plans for the night include performing well-known crowd
favorites along with newer numbers, including "My Enemy", a track which makes up part of the "Electronic Saviors: Industrial Music to Cure Cancer" (an 83-track set collected by promoter and dj Jim Semonik and released by Metropolis
Records) and "Reasons", which will be released on an upcoming WTii Records sampler. WTii Records takes up where
Wax Trax Records, one of the premiere industrial labels, left off.
These musicians come together with d.j. Mr. Smith of Club's popular past event series 'the
Night School' to celebrate the nuptials of long-time resident d.j. Burn to his long-time sweetheart (and both of their birthdays. Cover charge is $3. Doors open at 9.
