Milwaukee's Five O'Clock Steakhouse Unveils New Wine List

Milwaukee's iconic Five O'Clock Steakhouse unveiled an all new wine list this week. Reason #999 I would never make a good wine critic - I can't bad-wrap any of them (even the Chardonnays). I equate it to picking the favorite child you'll want to take care of you in your old age - do you chose the bubbly Rose, the Pinot Noir with a rebellious streak, or the slightly fruity yet dependable Cabernet?
Some of the standouts - In my un-critical opinion......
Jay Lohr "Seven Oaks" Cabernet Sauvignon - A Cabernet heavy on the plum and blueberry. YUM!
Lo Duca Mamertino - A slightly sweet Chardonnay with crisp apple flavors. Like a delightful summer breeze!
Rosenblum Cuvee Zinfandel - Raspberry, plum, bing cherry & vanilla spices. Perfect pairing with BBQ.
Catena "Alamos" Malbec - Argentinaian Malbec with bold flavors of tea, leather and blackberries. Not for the faint of palate but perfect with a great steak.
Caymus Conundrum White Blend - Mango, papaya, kiwi fresh peaches and ripe pears. All I need on a 90 degree day, a pool, and a cabana boy - heaven!
An artful mix of full-bodied choices that can stand up to steakhouse cuisine and refreshing summer sippers. Check out the complete list online or better yet, drop in to sample the lineup for yourself.
