_ash Aria_, Bradley, Los Bastardos Guapos at Club Anything Sunday 10 June

4467-aa061012

Sunday night brings a mix of synthpop, electronic pop with a metal edge, and industrial/punk/techno performers to Club Anything, 807 S. 5th Street in Milwaukee.

Headliner _ash Aria_, based in Los Angeles, brings the metal to the night.  _aA_ has the electronic abilities of Stabbing Westward and Nine Inch Nails with the catchy pop sensibilities and vocal deliveries of A.F.I.   Ashton Nyte, singer and composer for international gothic rock band The Awakening (who are poised and ready to release an anthology spanning their 15-year career) will be making a special guest appearance on vocals.  Guitarist, keyboardist, and programmer Jeremy Kohnmann, who has also performed in The Awakening, and keyboardist Brian Stevens complete the band.  In honor of Nyte's presence, the audience will be treated to a few songs from The Awakening's discography along with a new mix of alternate versions of songs from their existing catalogue.

Milwaukee-based Bradley has been writing and recording his own material since the mid-90s, and released his 4th album in November of 2010.  Counting as his musical influences acts as diverse as Depeche Mode, Skinny Puppy, and the Pet Shop Boys, his light synthesizer-based sound is complimented live by Michael T. Grace's onstage guitar and keyboard.  Grace has under his belt an impressive musical resume, including work on live guitar, synthesizer, and percussion for _ash Aria_ and lead guitar and songwriter for Snapdragon Records' rockers Eighty-D, and has performed duties as an audio engineer at both Summerfest and the Miramar Theatre.

Madison's Los Bastardos Guapos, providing the industrial/punk/techno portion of the evening, is made up of Nacho and Jorge, who describe their sound as "aggressive electronic beats with live vocals and instrumentation."  Known for their abrasive yet entertaining stage shows, these two screaming punks don't attempt to hide their senses of humor, not even a little bit, and are sure to amaze, delight, and offend audiences.

Doors open at 9, cover charge is $7.  21 and over, i.d. required.
