Retrograde Retreat

Saturday August 4th, 2012 – Fox Lake, IL

Today was a strange day to say the least, and at the end of it I decided that saying the least was indeed the best option. There was an absolutely eerie vibe the entire day as far as communication with others went, and after a while I decided to not even try anymore and wait for another day.

My cell phone was cutting in and out all day, and there was an annoying static I’d never heard before which caused me to lose several calls. The calls that did come through clearly were either somebody wanting something or upset with something I did. There was a glitch in ‘The Force’.

I also noticed a larger than usual number of people having arguments in public. I was sitting in a restaurant having lunch and three or four different tables were getting into it and I couldn’t help but take note. I don’t usually pay attention to what anyone does in a restaurant, but this stood out.

I don’t want to get all ‘woo woo’ about it, but I think there could be several possibilities having to do with anything and everything including full moons, half tides, pixie dust and crystals. What else could it be? I don’t know, but it sure didn’t seem like a coincidence. I felt an odd vibe today.

It’s a fact that full moons do have a measurable effect on humans. I checked and there isn’t one of those until August 31st apparently. Mercury Retrograde is another condition I’ve learned about since I’ve starting hosting The Mothership Connection radio show. Maybe that has to do with it.

Apparently, a few times a year the planet Mercury changes the direction it revolves and sends a vibe through the solar system that effects communication on Earth. No joke. I think Venus does a similar thing, and supposedly there are repercussions from that as well. Is it real? I wish I knew.

I’ve talked with a few people about it that I find to be credible and above board, and they say it has merit. One person I talked to said no contracts should be signed or deals made when Mercury is in Retrograde, as it could lead to trouble down the road. I’d never heard this before, but I don’t totally dismiss it. Our little planet is just one tiny little grain of sand on a colossal cosmic beach.

Sunspots, moonbeams, stardust and leprechauns could all have something to do with how it all comes together, and I can’t say for sure if any of it is real or not. All I know is there was a weird energy in the air today, and I don’t want to mess with it. I can’t put my finger on it, but it’s there.

For whatever it’s worth, I’ve noticed quite a bit of miscommunication lately. There has been an inordinate amount of missed appointments and crossed wires in my schedule the last week or so, and I don’t know why. I’m not a complete idiot, but one wouldn’t guess that by how I’ve acted.

I don’t want to make excuses, but something has got to be responsible for this. There have been lunar cycles and biorhythms and all kinds of cosmic activities since the universe began – when or how that actually happened. The point is it did happen, and we’re all just along for the long ride.

Today just wasn’t the day for communicating with anyone, so I gave up trying. I’m sure glad I didn’t have a show tonight, as it would have been a prime night for hecklers. I’m not up for that.
