Am. Psych, Red This Ever at Club Anything Friday
Local WTII Records act am. psych takes the stage Friday along with Balitimore-based synthrockers Red This Ever Friday the 30th at Club Anything.
Joined by producer and musician Dan Clark, best known for his time with Stromkern and the Dark Clan, on keys, coldwave revival artists am.Psych incorporate hard pounding beats and harsh and hateful angst with their smooth, digital synthesizer sound. Their guitar-heavy reverberations have been perfected over the last 12 years.
Duo Red This Ever, promoting their third and newest release (as of October) "Little Red Men", hits the road from their home on the east coast for their fourth U.S. tour. Having been compared to legends such as the Cure, Depeche Mode, and Gary Numan and counting among their influences Wolfsheim, the Pixies, and Joy Division, the outfit is known for their synthesizer-heavy melodies and goth rock energy.
Filling in the auditory holes between bands will be Club Anything resident DJ Bounce along with DJ EƒN, the creative director of Aftermath Productions in Green Bay.
Cover charge is $5, doors open at 9. Club Anything is located at 807 S. 5th Street.
